When it comes to the sport of paintball, one of the most interesting things about the sport is trying to find challenging field to play on. You have to keep in mind that paintball guns can injure someone if not played in a confined or restricted area. You should use your equipment only in areas where it is safe and you have permission to do so. There are lots of places that allow paintball outdoors however, in many towns, cities and indoor arenas. You can also use many props such as old cars, bunkers, towers, castles and fake buildings. You will find that these props exist on many outdoor playing fields, wooded areas and speedball fields.
If you decide to play in an established field or an outlaw one, even with cheap paintball guns, woods are an exciting place to take your paintball equipment. Many players refer to wooded areas as "woodsball". You're going to get a more realistic combat feeling. There are many different types of game variations when you play in the woods. If you choose the woods, you're going to learn the value of stealth and also enjoy action in the fields that is usually initiated by spontaneous firefights. Spontaneous firefights occur when you are fired on from who knows where, and you want your paintball gear to come through for you.
You're going to require different skills when using your paintball gear in the woods than playing anywhere else. You will learn how to apply more covert movements commonly referred to as stealth. Of course, your best defense and offense is to remain unseen. Skills that you learn on different types of playing fields, such as teamwork, knowing when the fire, and when to take cover, however, are still applicable in the "woods environment." Also, it is important that you continue to play tight, as this is always important in paintball. Regardless of your choice of playing fields, always remember to take the appropriate precautions.
